Abstract
In order to characterize the informational structure of interdisciplinary research efforts, peace research is taken as an example and analyzed. As a database the volume 15 of the Peace Research Abstracts Journal (PRAJ) is employed. The nature of peace research in terms of publication format, and the relation between publication formats and research topics are also made clear. These results will also contribute to facilitate retrieval of literature for peace research. In addition, problems connected with abstracting services such as PRAJ are also pointed out.
