Usage of scientific and technological information in developing superconducting materials

Abstract

An experience of successful scientific information acquisition through the JICST File at an earliest stage of superconductivity boom, when only newspaper articles were source of information, is described. The results of the online retrieval of the JICST File told us that the crystal structure of the superconducting materials in question is K₂NiF₄ type, which was new information not known yet in research community in common.
