Patent information management in Nagasaki Research & Development Center of Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Ltd (MHI).

Abstract

It is expected for our company, dealing with heavy industry to survive informationized society, and the development of research results has become an important matter. Under these environments, guarding the research results and offering the patent informations timely are necessary. The patent service in our center was established in 1963 and had since used papers as medium to manage information. Nowadays we have begun to use on-line systems of PATOLIS and PATROLS instead of papers, and increased efficiency of information offer.
