Abstract
JAPIC-Q is a database which exhaustively covers information on drugs from literature of medical and pharmaceutical areas, and from abstracts and preprints of academic societies. The data size is 15, 000 citations (academic papers) , 30, 000 preprints of academic societies and 10, 000 abstracts. Users can access to that information two weeks after it is disclosed. To ensure recall of searching it has index which allows to identify common name (WHO Name) of a drug, experiment number, trade name, components used in cocktail remedy of anticancer drugs and components of Chinese medicine prescription. In the process of the database production an optical character reader is used, which is a help for rapid production of databases.
