Trend of “Patent wars” and the system reformation

Abstract

Nowadays, the term “Patent wars” is often heard. In this paper, the cause of an increasing interest toward the Patent wars is analyzed. The analysis is based on the articles of newspaper, and the author examined the tendency of its increase, propatent policy and its relation to suits regarding to patents, and the contents of the recent articles. The analysis showed that the correlation with the application of the information technology field, for example the patents of business method and the patents of genome, is extremely remarkable. According to this result, the author states how each country corresponds to improvement and optimization of the operation for the legal system, speedup of the examination, and early solution of the trouble.
