In DENSO Corporation, the Engineering Administration Department has been responsible for technical information relating to product design and development, which has been divided into three categories, in-house technical standards, regulations and standards, and library. Its activities have focused on the attainment of a goal of “efficient access to necessary information” to which it has placed a top priority. For in-house technical standards it has addressed implementation of the full standard retrieval system which allows necessary standards to be identified under various conditions. For regulations and standards it has been dedicated to analysis and processing of information obtained as well as implementation of full information source. For library it has addressed introduction of information navigation functions which enables identification of necessary information from numerous information sources inside and outside the company.
