Electronic resource management system:

Focusing on the efforts of DLF/ERMI

Abstract

Recently information environment in which libraries operate has dramatically changed, as the Internet prevails all over the world and electronic publishing technology quickly evolves. With this background, it has emerged as a real challenge for libraries to properly manage electronic resources and improve access to them by library users. In this article efforts of academic libraries in North America are reported, with special focus on DLF(Digital Library Federation) ERMI(Electronic Resource Management Initiative).
