Abstract
In order to investigate the effectiveness of water intake and the difference of the amount of water required during working in the hot climate, we conducted subjective experiments. Eight healthy young men stayed in a hot climate chamber, and their body internal temperatures, skin temperatures, body weight loss, thermal sensations, subjective complains and fatigue, ECG, and scores of Psychomotor Vigilance Task were measured. We found some positive results for water intake and the effectiveness of the PHS model (ISO7933) as a guideline for water intake during hot climate.
