Electron Microscopy of Hunter-Schreger Bands in Bovine Dental Enamel

Abstract

Some attempts have been made by scholars in the histologic study of Hunter-Schreger bands in teeth of animals through an optic microscope. In the present research the authors have attempted at electron microscopic examinations of Hunter-Schreger bands in bovine teeth. As the result of this investigation, a few interesting points can be noted in the histologic images of bovine Hunter-Schreger bands. The observations of the electron micrographs are described below.
