DEVELOPMEONFT OF HIGHWAY FACILITES INSPECTION SUPPORTING SYSTEM (HI-FIS) USING VIDEO IMAGE

Abstract

The objective of this study is to develop the Highway Facilites Inspection Supporting System using video image, which is called HI-FIS. The new guide to design the sub-system of HI-FIS has been investigated and arranged, such as the condition for inspecting the highway facilites, the charge and management method of the video tapes, the form to refer the information in the various kinds of database by using the information derived from the video image and so on. It should be confirmed that this study is a good guide to construct the database system using video image, to say nothing of stationary image data, for supporting the maintenance of road.
