It is not an easy task to determine and compare the advantages and disadvantages of routes based on a perspective view of topographical details. This paper proposes a traffic simulation utilizing three-dimensional digital information used in the design of a comparatively selected route. Previously, huge funding and a lot of time were needed to develop a traffic simulation. However, the currently available wire-frame automatic generating function introduced into the 3-D CAD systems used in road design has greatly reduced the time needed for the modeling procedure. This new method of evaluating route selection has greatly simplified traffic simulation.
