Land Control Model for Conservation of Natural Environment in Lake Biwa Basin

Abstract

We focused the main subject of this study on the useful-systems of land use control in the shore zone. Firstly, we distinguished the land uses in the shore zone from the development restrain and suitabl development points of view. The shore zone is consisted of four areas of preservation, conservation, development and reservation. Secondly, we studied various systems of land use control in overseas and Japan. As the result of these studies, we suggested the land use control systems for each area.
