Abstract
In this paper, theoretical value for advantage of position associated with traffic network is calculated. This useful value is based on graph theory, and is obtained as an eigenvector of the adjacency matrix corresponding to traffic network. Its feature is that it just depends on the topological structure of traffic network. However, it is defined only about junctions of the traffic network. Since people live on 2-dimensional continuous plane, we must not overlook the defect. We first calculate that value for the railway network of Tokyo metropolis. Then, we generalize the definition of the value as it can take account of travel time without eliminating its feature, and extend it to planar region by using grid system.
