Abstract
here is a lot of controversy about how to reduce the consumption of the transportation energy. On the other hand, the regional development is closely related to the level of mobility. In this study, we quantify the level of mobility by analyzing the person trip data of Kei-Han-Shin Metropolitan Area. Then we clarify the relationship between the level of mobility and the transportation energy consumption. We indicate that (1) the transportation energy consumption becomes large more rapidly than the level of mobility does, (2) the efficiency of mobility has an inclination to get worse with motorization.
