This paper is aimed for 3 of the following.1)It is to demonstrate the real of housing estates development in the north suburban area of Fukui city.2)It is to grasp the characteristic of inhabitants from the view of the connection to their hometown and the residence career.3)It is to find the inhabitant's characteristic by the location. We executed questionnaire survey in November, 2004 to accomplish these purposes and got 765 households' valid answers. The main conclusions are as following.1)Inhabitants' connection to their hometown is very strong in the north suburban area of Fukui city.2)But it is very weak in the nearer suburban area out of railway service.3)Inhabitants' residence career influence to their following residence choice.
