Abstract
The dormitory suburbs consist of detached housing are faced with problems such as aging of population, increase of vacant houses and residential environmental deterioration. The dormitory suburbs will take various problems and characteristics with the time of development, the location and so on. It is important to recognize the existing condition and trend of dormitory suburbs systematically to solve the problems. This paper aims to clarify the problems and characteristics of dormitory suburbs with detached housing in Osaka Prefecture. We analyzed the fundamental investigation for city planning of Osaka Prefecture. The results are follows. The result indicates that the aging of population is preceding more in the suburbs developed earlier.
