Abstract
Recently, various ways of utilizing riverside spaces have been recognized widely. However, these cases are mostly taken place in commercial areas. Considering the growing needs in increasing the Quality of Life in urban areas, utilization of riverside spaces within residential areas is crucial. Considering this, the management of buildings and passages along the river is important. Through this research, the following findings were identified. 1) Local administrations managing riverside spaces considers the privacy of residents and crime prevention. 2) It is suggested that characteristics of buildings along the riverside, such as dwelling house combined with store and factory and is located on the north side of river influence quality of river management passage.
