Abstract

The purpose of this study is to clarify how the festival network affects local communities. In this study, we focus on the degree of involvement in festival activities and use "regional attachment", "time perspective", and "social capital" as indicators to measure awareness of the local community. The research method is as follows: (1) a literature survey based on the past research on the impact of the festival on the region, (2) an interview survey in the target region, and (3) a survey on the festival and the region. As a result of the questionnaire analysis, it was revealed that those who participated in the festival had higher "regional attachment" , "social capital" and "time perspective on the future" than those who did not participate.
