Abstract
This study aims to evaluate the effects of corridor formation where population and urban facilities gather intensively and public transport on travel convenience. A potential-type accessibility index is applied. Three scenarios are developed: A) Increase the service level of public transport routes along the corridor, B) Equal increase of the service level among the whole areas and C) Land-use development in corridor area. The results indicate that increase of service level of major public transport system brings higher accessibility and equality. Additionally, higher accessibility is brought by land-use development in corridor area with higher service level public transport system.
