Abstract
This study focuses on bus operation as substitute for urban railway after a big earthquake in a city. If urban railway will serious damaged suffer from a big earthquake, it takes to recover long time like a Hanshin-Awaji great earthquake. The problem is the public transport in metropolitan area may require substitute for urban railway to stops in a few railway lines which results the level of public transport service will not adequate. This study proposes to effective for bus operation as substitute for urban railway from these issues by the results and processes on bus operation as substitute for Hanshin urban railways.
