Abstract
This study clarified the cycling courses and bicyclists' perception of riding in the central area of Kanazawa City. We conducted surveys of bicycle and pedestrian counts as well as the bicycle use of the local high school students. The effects of adding “Bicycle-Running-Guidance-Belt” were also verified by analyzing the association between cycling experience of this belt and the perception of bicycle use. Bicycle accidents of the central area were further analyzed to reveal issues for developing the bicycle-friendly city
