An Anal isys of Train Scheduling pattern and user's Benefit

Abstract

This paper presents the application of a method for evaluating a train scheduling from the view point of user's benefit to some major private railways in Tokyo metropolitan area and Osaka area. At first we evaluate every train schedulings by the criteria which was proposed in our previous research. And then each factors of user's disutility such as the cost of time of boarding a train, time of waiting a train, congestion, and so on are analyzed in relation to the pattern of train shedulings
