Abstract

The Chigirishima Smelter of Toho Zinc Co., Ltd. is located on Chigirishima island of Hiroshima Prefecture.
The smelter is a custom lead smelter and its operation was started in 1951. At present, the smelter produces 8,000 tons per month of electrolytic lead.
This paper describes significant improvements and achieved results in by-products production process.
