Abstract
This paper presents the results on field test on shotcrete in the Shin-kurikara tunnel located in Toyama prefecture. The purpose is to understand the influence of the viscosity on the construction performance and quality of shotcrete. From the field test results, it is observed that the slump adjusted by mixing of minute particles of fine aggregate are effective in reducing the rebound and the dust, and also in improving the strength and durebility of the shotcrete.
Consequently, a fine mix proportion of shotcrete is proposed; consisting 15 percent of minute particles of fine aggregate, 5 percent of silicafume and the slump is adjusted to 14cm. This mix proportion provides fine construction performance and improved quality of shotcrete.
