Abstract
For a case when a rupture is initiated at a point, propagated in all directions and extends over a fault with an arbitrary shape, expressions are obtained to find displacements in an infinite medium not by a double numerical integration of the point source solution but by a single integration. The rupture velocity may also be an arbitrary function of direction of rupture propagation and hence the previous case (Part I) in which the rupture front is the plane is included in the present case.
