Abstract
The Analytical Solutions of Groups model by use of the group Wilson parameters is one of the useful methods to predict liquid phase activity coefficients. The group Wilson parameters for the systems consisting of CH2 groups and OH groups were determined using the total vapor pressure data of alcohol-water and alcohol-paraffin systems in the temperature range from 50°C to 90°C. The determined group Wilson parameters were successfully used for prediction of isobaric vapor-liquid equilibria with pressures up to 20 atm and temperatures up to 215°C.
Solid-liquid equilibria were also satisfactorily predicted at temperatures down to -81°C using the same parameters for predicting isobaric vapor-liquid equilibria.
