Abstract
Evaluation of experimental data for the propylene-propane system is made simultaneously with data correlation. It is based on the thermodynamic consistency test currently used by many authors.
As a result of testing a number of published P-x-y data, a useful expression is presented for computation of the relative volatility in the wide ranges of composition, pressure and temperature. It can represent the data ranging from -40 to 71°C with the mean average deviation of 0.0013 in the vapor-phase composition.
