Analysis of Hydrocarbon in Seria Straight Naphtha

Abstract

Analysis of C₆-C₈ hydrocarbons in Seria crude oil was made by means of infrared and Ramanspectra, and gas chromatography combined with distillation and percolation methods. By the results of the experiments, quantitative data on 43 hydrocarbons were presented, which were comprised in all of the anticipated compounds in C₆ and C₇ series, and principal components in C₈ series. Then, a brief discussion was made on application of these analytical instruments to routine analysis of complex hydrocarbon mixtures.
