Abstract
The fault diagnosis system of the chemical plant generally consists of three subsystems: measuring, signal-processing and inferring. Techniques used in the individual subsystems depend upon the characteristics of the plant and the state to be diagnosed. This paper gives a review of the fault diagnosis systems for continuous process in a steady state, continuous process with fluctuating loads and the batch process.
