Abstract
Boiling points were measured of five alcohol-diesel fuel systems at 740mmHg by means of an ebulliometer. The five alcohols are ethanol, 1-propanol, 2-propanol, 1-butanol, and 2-methyl-1-propanol. In addition, the boiling points of ethanol-1-propanol-diesel fuel mixture were also measured. The boiling point values were successfully correlated using the Wilson equation, the diesel fuel being treated as a "pseudo" pure component.
