Abstract

Information literacy education is frequently carried out at university. In corporations, it is often carried out as part of in-house education at the time of entry, but both of them seem to have not clearly positioned the original purpose and the ability setting aimed at. So I grasp the current situation and examined what should be the original information literacy. In this paper, it can be said that information literacy is equivalent to the ability required from “data” to “information” level by collating with the idea of “problem solving process for decision making” that companies are working on. I believe this should be a common understanding between universities and companies. What is different is the expected effect at each opportunity and you need to understand and recognize it clearly. In addition, education personnel are required to have sufficient understanding and consciousness, and in particular personnel in charge of enterprises are required to have a higher level of experience.
