Abstract
In November 2007, Japan Association for International Chemical Information (JAICI) organized the CAS Forum in Tokyo and Osaka to celebrate the 100th Anniversary of Chemical Abstracts. Mr. Robert Massie, President of CAS, was one of the invited speakers. His presentation titled “CAS, Japan and the World of Chemical Information” included the 100-year history of CAS, how chemical information have evolved in those years, and the contribution of Japan. This paper is a translation of his presentation.
