Abstract

1. The camellia double flower behaves as a Mendelian recessive to the common double flower, and the factor for this camellia double flower gives manifold effects to leaves and growing habit.
2. The crossing between the single flower and the common flower gives the 306 THE single flowered hybrids, and these hybrids give the single flowers and the common double flowers in the ratio 9:7 in F2.
3. The factors producing the flower-colour of this plant are as follows:-M, for the red flower; m, for the pink flower. P, changes the pink flower into purple, and produces the redish purple colour with M.
4. Some white flowers produce eversportingly the colour flowered and the striped flowered mutants.
5. A fasciated plant appeared among the normals, perhaps, may be new mutants.
