Abstract

The purpose of this study is to clarify the images of the health education class, which the health and physical education trainee teachers have before and after the teaching practice. As a result, the following three points were clarified.

① The images were divided into four categories: “the aim", “the learning form", “the practice", and “the meaning" of the health education class.

② As for “the aim", there was no big change before and after the practice teaching. Teaching practice at H University cover smaller number of health education classes compared to physical education classes. Therefore it can be seen that there were limited events that would bring change to the “the aim" that the student apprentice had before the teaching practice.

③ “The practice" has some metaphor about “teaching material study" after the teaching practice. At H University's teaching practice, training of teaching material study has been practiced the most, and this factor may have had an impact on the mentor.
