Abstract

The Fe(001) layer thickness dependence of the electric field-induced modification to the Perpendicular Magnetic Anisotropy (PMA), exchange stiffness constant and anomalous/spin Hall conductivities is systematically investigated by means of full-potential linearized augmented plane-wave method. The magnetocytalline anisotropy is shown to be sensitive to the application of the electric field, in accordance to the previous studies. In addition, the modifications induced by external electric field to the exchange stiffness and the Hall conductivities of this ferromagnetic film are also demonstrated. We find strong dependence of both the magnitude and the change of these properties on the atomic layer.
