Abstract

The Belle II silicon Vertex Detector (SVD) consists of 4-layers of double-sided silicon strip detector that provides precise tracking hits information for short-living particles' decay vertex searching, helping the New Physics study essentially. It is important to ensure the tracking quality of SVD by effectively rejecting ghost hits and background to optimize vertex resolution.Since there are ghost hits about 7% on layer3, the ghost hits reduction will contribute to a better tracking and vertexing accuracy. One possible method is gathering the P-N charge correlation from true hits associated with tracks, using this correlation as a selection to improve the tracking, in particular for low momentum tracks. This study is based on the data obtained from DESY test beam in 2016 Spring, and the reconstruction, as well as the analysis, are performed using Belle2 Analysis Framework which is developed for Belle2 real experiment.
