Abstract

We modify the Blonder, Tinkham and Klapwijk theory to calculate the differential conductance of the interface between the normal conductor and the d-wave superconductor at zero temperature. The differential conductance is calculated as a function of the bias voltage in the absence or presence of the barrier potential at the interface. It is shown that the behavior of the conductance in the case of the d-wave symmetry is quite different from that in the case of the s-wave symmetry. Thus the information of the symmetry for the Cooper pair should be obtained from the quasiparticle transport phenomena at the normal-superconducting microconstriction.
