Abstract
Compressible magnetohydrodynamic simulation is carried out in order toinvestigate energy relaxation process of the driven magnetic reconnectionin an open finite system through a long time calculation.It is found that a very impulsive energy release occurs in an intermittent fashionthrough magnetic reconnection for a continuous magnetic flux injection on the boundary.In the impulsive phase, the reconnection rate is remarkably enhanced up to more thanten times of the driving rate on the boundary.
