Percolation process is studied in a model granular systemon a square lattice, where grains are grown around seeds up tothe n-th neighbors. Critical percolation coverage is shown tooscillate as a function of n. The coverage at which the numberof particles on the surface of clusterstakes a maximum is also shown to oscillateas a function of n. These oscillations are due to the projections ofgrains. The percolation process is shown to belong to the universalityclass of two dimensional percolation.
