Abstract

The temperature dependence of the microwave relaxation in the vicinity of the main polar commensurate phases (q_s/c^*=2/7, 4/15) ofbetaine calcium chloride dihydrate (BCCD) is ascribed to activated overdamped modes on the phason branch. Quantitative results are obtained.
