Extraction of Stationary Axisymmetric Asymptotically Flat Space-Time

Abstract

Neugebauer-Kramer solutions on a flat background are extracted from other series of exact solutions to Ernst equation by imposing asymptotic flatness and reality of metrics. Because of this result, we partially verify the conjecture that Neugebauer's solutions are most comprehensive in physically meaningful solutions to Ernst equation.
