The magnetic moment and the Mössbauer spectra of Fe57 nucleus for Fe1−x(Cr0.5Ni0.5)x have been measured at room temperature. The electric resistivities for the same alloys have been measured at various temperatures. From these measurements we have discussed the validity of a rigid band model in the series of bcc iron alloys. In these alloys, despite of the constant number of 3d electron, the average magnetic moment per atom decreases with x. These facts are considered to be an evidence for the violation of the rigid band model for these alloys. From the measurement of the distribution of the internal field and the concentration dependence of the electric resistivity at room temperature, the distribution of magnetic moments of iron atoms has been discussed.
