Magnetic from factor of Ni–Cr alloy with 4.5 at % Cr was measured by the polarized neutron diffraction method. From the form factor analysis, the mean localized moments of Ni and Cr were determined as 0.356±0.002 μB and 0.002±0.91 μB at room temperature respectively. The rate of decrease of the mean localized moment of Ni at 0 K with respect to the Cr concentration ∂μNi⁄∂c=−5.8±0.2μB is slightly steeper than that of the bulk moment. From this and from disturbance parameters of Cr in the Co0.95Cr0.05 alloy, the magnetic clusters around each environment dependent moment of Ni atoms in the Ni0.95Cr0.05 alloy were calculated.
