The differential cross section for resonance scattering of electrons by neon near 16 eV was evaluated numerically on the basis of the partial wave method using the phase shift parameter analysis of Fano. The calculation of the differential cross section for various scattering angles was carried out under the assumption of a natural line width Γ=10 meV and the total energy resolution ΔE=40 meV, and then compared with the experimental results of Andrick, Ehrhardt and Eyb. The good agreement between them indicates the validity of the assumed conditions for the computation.
