Abstract
Influence of the planar domains associated with bubbles has been investigated in a Permalloy-coated garnet film. Both the bubble velocity and the stability of the bubble domain wall state are strongly affected by the direction of the planar domain walls-tails with respect to the direction of bubble motion. Bubbles move faster when the tails are behind (forward motion) than when the tails are ahead (backward motion). The range of in-plane field where the initial domain wall states is retained is wider in the forward motion than in the backward motion. These differences are related to the dynamics of the planar domains.
