Abstract
Neutron-capture cross-sections are calculated using Margolis formula based on statistical theory at 24 keV for 48 nuclei, using low energy resonance parameters. In these calculations we have taken into account the contribution due to s-, p- and d-wave neutrons. In general, the agreement between the theoretical and the experimental cross-sections for the cases enumerated is satisfactory, when 〈Γγ〉⁄〈D〉 is taken to be the same for s- and p-wave neutrons.
