Ionic Conductivity and Electronic Properties of Liquid Ag Chalcogenides up to 1500°C

Abstract

Ionic and electronic conductivities and thermoelectric power have been measured for liquid Ag chalcogenides up to 1500°C. High ionic conductivity has been observed near the melting points for liquid Ag₂S, Ag₂Se and Ag₂Te. The ionic conductivity for liquid Ag₂S and Ag₂Se change little with temperature, while that for liquid Ag₂Te rapidly decreases with increasing temperature.
