Oblique-Antiferromagnetic Phase of a Random Magnetic Mixture, CsMn_1−xCo_xCl₃2H₂O

Abstract

Magnetic properties of a randomly mixed system with different easy axes, CsMn_1−xCo_xCl₃2H₂O have been investigated. Characteristic features were observed in the magnetic torque measurement on samples with 0.04<x<0.07, which confirm the existence of an “oblique-antiferromagnetic” phase. The temperature and composition dependences of the tilting angle of the sublattice magnetizations are obtained.
