Measurement of Oscillator Strengths for Three Lines among the 4s4p ³P-4p^{2 3}P Multiplet of Zn I

Abstract

The hook method has been applied to the 4s4p ³P₀-4p^{2 3}P₁, 4s4p ³P₁-4p^{2 3}P₀ and 4s4p ³P₂-4p^{2 3}P₁ transitions at 2079 A, 2097 A and 2104 A as well as to the visible multiplet 4s4p ³P_0,1,2-4s4s ³S₁ at 4680 A, 4722 A and 4811 A. Relative oscillator strengths are determined to be f₂₀₇₉⁄f₄₆₈₀^*=4.4±1.1, f₂₀₉₇⁄f₄₇₂₂^*=1.5±0.4 and f₂₁₀₄⁄f₄₈₁₁^*=1.3±0.4. Uisng known f^* values of the visible multiplet the gf values are obtained to be gf₂₀₇₉=0.63, gf₂₀₉₇=0.63 and gf₂₁₀₄=0.90.
