On the Upper Critical Fields of 600 kG Superconductors

Abstract

The results of a recent Letter of Okuda et al. are compared with our superconducting PbMoS (600 kG upper critical field) data published in 1974. Brief comments are made on possible sources of systematic errors using pulsed fields. Some recent interpretations of the theory of high field superconductors are also discussed.
